Game Breakdown - Plinkidle
2 Min game/game review of Plinkidle
Genre & Themes: Incremental, Pachinko
Plinkidle is a fun little pachinko themed incremental game with relaxing ASMR vibes.
Core Gameplay
The game board is quite simple. You just press the drop button and balls fall down into pockets at the bottom that give you points.
You spend points to upgrade your board such as increasing the speed of auto dropping or adding in pegs that pay out points.
There are pockets with higher scores and (later) bonuses open up on the various pockets.

As you progress, you unlock new boards and more powerful powerups.

Multipliers are unlocked in 2 ways
First, there is a list of achiements you are trying to unlock on your run. After you complete a certain number of them, in this case 3/5, you get a reward.

Rewards are generally multipliers on the base game such as balls, coins, spans speed, etc.

Second, when you beat a level you get a random multiplier

Progression
Players unlock stages one after the other. There is a simple/nice star system that handles this.
1 star gets you a reward, 2 stars unlocks the next level, 3 stars to get achievements (ie more powerups). These stars can feel a little random, ie 1 star doesn't always give you a new power-up, but it's a nice, clear system.

I like the main menu design, though it is a little crowded.
- The play button is nice and big
- You can see ~5 levels and your progress on each of them
- There is a wishlist on Steam button
- Some of the background clouds and other elements make the buttons feel less clickable
